Three-time Emmy Award Winning Morning Show | Telemundo | NBCUniversal

My first taste of the entertainment world! Chosen from over 19,000 applicants, my Production Assistant/Intern role at the phenomenal, Emmy award-winning morning show (now "Hoy Día") was a game-changer. It was a super hands-on experience where I even produced my own cooking segments and got a front-row seat to all the behind-the-scenes action of live TV. Check out some of the cool things I created during my internship!

Got my hands dirty (literally) working on this interview package. I got to explore the gorgeous urban oasis of "Midtown Garden Center" in Wynwood. The owner, Ninfa Diaz, shared her vision for bringing this green haven to Miami. My team and I captured the story and a live cooking demo with one of their talented chefs. I then teamed up with an editor to bring the whole vibrant piece to life. If you're ever in Miami, this unique garden is a must-see!

Talk about a Super Bowl scoop! Back in 2019, I had the opportunity to interview Dayani Cruz, the Hard Rock Stadium's Dominican Head Chef and the first Latina to helm the Super Bowl menu for the 2020 Miami showdown! My Supervising Producer, Carlos Alzate, entrusted me with capturing her inspiring story and some mouthwatering visuals. The piece was shown right before Un Nuevo Día’s chef James would go live with Dayani herself to whip up some game-day treats. Loved every minute of bringing this tasty story to life!

As if being a part of a morning show wasn’t an experience enough… our team hit the vibrant South Beach for an epic 10+ hour music video shoot for this summer anthem. I was all hands on deck, assisting every department – you might even spot me battling a giant beach ball to keep the scene perfect! Click if you're brave enough; this tune is seriously catchy.

Summary

A sweet farewell! One of the editors was kind enough to whip up this video highlighting some of my key moments on the show! You'll catch my slightly flustered debut at the beginning (National Intern Day), where my Spanish decided to take a back seat. But hey, it's not every day you get your few minutes of fame representing your university on live morning TV, so enjoy the (blushing) highlights!
