For The Cultura
“For the Cultura” was a daily, digital, Latinx entertainment news show on Quibi. It was a short-form series, usually no more than 5-minute-long episodes, that centered on celebrities, music, movies, and current events, targeting a LatinX millennial audience.
While our groundbreaking digital series produced over 100 episodes, Quibi had an unexpected finale in 2020. However, the journey was nothing short of an exhilarating adventure! Our dynamic team and I successfully navigated the unique challenges of launching and running a show amidst a global pandemic.
As a Producer, I immersed myself in every facet of the production process: from crafting engaging scripts and editing episodes to conducting insightful interviews and producing compelling segments. My responsibilities also extended to operating the teleprompter with finesse, contributing creatively to graphics, thumbnails, and metadata, and providing crucial support to the post-production team. Below, you'll find a curated selection of interviews I conducted, episodes I proudly produced, and some behind-the-scenes glimpses into this unforgettable, albeit short-lived, digital experience.
Interviews
One of the highlights of my time at "For the Cultura" was conjuring up some fun celebrity interviews! (mostly via Zoom, of course, cause of COVID) A personal favorite? A spooky Halloween segment I created and produced with the talented Mariah Angeliq. I hope you enjoy the thrills as much as I enjoyed creating them!
